Schedule/Hours:
  • Variable shifts
  • Guaranteed 36 hours per week
  • On-call required
  • Weekend scheduling to be discussed in interview
Working in a busy cardiovascular operating room and day surgery environment, you'll handle cases across multiple specialties and patient populations, sharpening your clinical and interpersonal skills in a collaborative and supportive setting. This opportunity allows you to broaden your expertise in a hospital setting known for its advanced technology, top-quality care, and Magnet recognition for nursing excellence.

Qualifications:
  • Active, unencumbered TX Registered Nurse license (no temp licenses)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an OR or day surgery setting
  • Current ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications
  • Experience preparing patients for surgery
  • Familiarity with Meditech preferred
  • Ability to work with adults, adolescents, and geriatric patients
  • Professional, positive communication skills and a patient-centered approach
  • Scrub attire provided; adherence to facility dress, hair, and nail policies required
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and care for surgical patients through all phases of perioperative care
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across cardiovascular, surgical, orthopedic, neuro, and bariatric specialties
  • Float to other units as needed
  • Deliver care according to hospital protocols and quality standards
