Overview
Texas Oncology is looking for a Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Frisco team. This is a full‑time Monday‑Friday position (8:30 am‑5:00 pm) with no weekends, calls, or major holidays.

Responsibilities- Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate, and promote continuity of care consistent with standards and practices.
- Assess patient health status by interviewing regarding current status and medical history.
- Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching and instructional material.
- Provide psychosocial support to patients and families.
- Facilitate clinical operations and patient care.
- Manage patient medication refill requests from the pharmacy phone line and record the information in the patient chart.
- Facilitate and schedule consultations, pre‑testing, diagnostic tests or procedures, referrals, and future appointments.
- Triage patient phone calls as needed and document relevant information.
- Facilitate communication between patient/family and interdisciplinary team and coordinate related services.
- Assist patients in locating available community resources.
- Collaborate professionally with LPN/LVNs and medical assistants.
Ideal candidate will have the following background and experience.
Education / Training Level I- Graduate from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
- RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Maintain continuing education requirements.
- 0–3 years of nursing experience, oncology experience strongly preferred.
- Minimum three (3) years of nursing experience; oncology experience strongly preferred.
- Minimum five (5) years of nursing experience, including at least one year in oncology strongly preferred.
- Oncology certification preferred.

Physical RequirementsFull range of body motion required, including handling and lifting patients. Manual and finger dexterity, eye‑hand coordination. Standing and walking for extensive periods. Ability to lift up to 40 lb periodically. Requires corrected vision and hearing within normal limits.
