Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor and Delivery
Work location:
Texas Health Frisco, 12400 N Dallas Parkway, Frisco, Texas, 75033
Work hours:
Full Time
- Nights:
Week 1 (24 hours per week) 7:00 pm-7:00 am;
Week 2 (36 hours per week) 7:00 pm-7:00 am. Must be available for rotating weekends.
- Average 120 deliveries per month
- Focused on the experience of all who enter the hospital
- Promote family-centered care
- Supportive of the patient’s vision of the Labor & Delivery
- Associate degree Nursing required or Nursing Diploma
- BSN (Preferred)
- 1 Year Experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program (Required)
- 1 plus year of labor and delivery experience as a registered nurse (Preferred)
- RN
- Registered Nurse Upon Hire (Required upon hire) - BCLS
- Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly (Required) - NRP
- Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90 Days (Required) - ACLS
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days (Required) - IFM
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring 6 Months (Required upon hire) - NRPA
- Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90 Days (Required) - CPI
- Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days (Required)
- Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
- Assesses the patient
- Plans the care of the patient
- Intervenes as appropriate
- Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
- Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
- Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
- Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
