Position: Registered Nurse, RN (Full Time-Nights)- Labor & Delivery

Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor and Delivery

Work location:

Texas Health Frisco, 12400 N Dallas Parkway, Frisco, Texas, 75033

Work hours:

Full Time
- Nights:
Week 1 (24 hours per week) 7:00 pm-7:00 am;
Week 2 (36 hours per week) 7:00 pm-7:00 am. Must be available for rotating weekends.

Labor and Delivery Highlights
  • Average 120 deliveries per month

Here’s What You Need
  • Associate degree Nursing required or Nursing Diploma
  • BSN (Preferred)
  • 1 Year Experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program (Required)
  • 1 plus year of labor and delivery experience as a registered nurse (Preferred)
  • RN
    - Registered Nurse Upon Hire (Required upon hire)
  • BCLS
    - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly (Required)
  • NRP
    - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90 Days (Required)
  • ACLS
    - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days (Required)
  • IFM
    - Intermediate Fetal Monitoring 6 Months (Required upon hire)
  • NRPA
    - Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90 Days (Required)
  • CPI
    - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days (Required)
What You Will Do
  • Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
  • Assesses the patient
  • Plans the care of the patient
  • Intervenes as appropriate
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
  • Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
  • Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
  • Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
