Frisco, Texas Nurse Practitioner - NICU Locum Tenens Opportunity

Neonatal intensive care unit coverage
• Multi-site Dallas/Fort Worth region
• 24-hour in-house shifts

Rhino Medical is seeking Neonatal Nurse Practitioners for ongoing locum tenens coverage supporting Level II and III NICUs across multiple sites in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. These roles focus on managing critically ill neonates, attending high-risk deliveries, and collaborating with neonatal teams in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.

  • 24-hour in-house shifts (0700–0700) with potential for extended 36-48 hour shifts as needed
  • Coverage at seven NICU facilities including Frisco, McKinney, Alliance, Las Colinas, Arlington, Plano, and Lewisville
Practice Environment

Supporting Level II and III NICUs, these facilities provide comprehensive neonatal care with nursing, respiratory therapy, and other support staff. The role involves rounding, high-risk delivery attendance, neonatal resuscitation, and managing a variable census of infants and newborns. Collaboration with neonatal teams and occasional out-of-house call support are integral to daily operations.

Requirements
  • Board Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NCC)
  • Minimum 2 years APRN/NNP experience
  • Current NRP and BLS certifications
  • Texas state license (accepted)
  • DEA registration (or transferable)
  • Case logs for endotracheal intubations and umbilical line placements (last 12–18 months); logs for needle thoracentesis, chest tubes, lumbar puncture, PAL, PICC lines preferred
