Texas Oncology is looking for a Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team! This position will support our Frisco location. This is a full‑time Monday‑Friday position (8:30am‑5pm) with no weekends, calls or major holidays.

Under general supervision, the RN provides professional nursing care consistent with national and company standards and specialty guidelines. The RN must recognize physical, psychological, and spiritual aspects of care, participate in quality initiatives, and support the U.S. Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

• Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate, and promote continuity of care consistent with established standards and practices.
• Assess health status by interviewing patients regarding current status and medical history.
• Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching and instructional materials.
• Provide psychosocial support to patients and families.
• Facilitate clinical operations and patient care.
• Manage patient medication refill requests from the pharmacy line and record information in the patient chart.
• Facilitate and schedule consultations, pre‑testing, diagnostic tests or procedures, referrals, and future appointments for patients.
• Triage patient phone calls as needed and document relevant information in the chart.
• As necessary, facilitate communication between patient/family and interdisciplinary teams, coordinating services related to patient care.
• Assist patients in locating available community resources.
• Collaborate inter‑professionally.
• Act as a resource to LPN/LVNs and medical assistants.

The ideal candidate for the Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) position will have the following background and experience:

• Graduate from an accredited professional nursing program; BSN preferred.
• RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Maintain continuing education requirements.
• Entry level – 0‑3 years of nursing experience, oncology experience strongly preferred.

• Minimum three (3) years of nursing experience, oncology experience strongly preferred.

• Minimum five (5) years of nursing experience, including at least one year in oncology strongly preferred.
• Oncology certification preferred.
