Overview
Texas Oncology is looking for a Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Frisco location. This full‑time, Monday–Friday position (8:30 am–5:00 pm) provides nursing care without weekend, on‑call or major holiday shifts.
Responsibilities- Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote continuity of care in accordance with established standards.
- Assess health status by interviewing patients regarding current status and medical history.
- Assess patient and family needs and provide teaching and instructional materials.
- Provide psychosocial support to patients and families.
- Facilitate clinical operations and patient care.
- Manage medication refill requests from the pharmacy telephone line and record the information in the patient chart.
- Facilitate and schedule consultations, pre‑testing, diagnostic tests or procedures, referrals and future appointments.
- Triage patient phone calls as needed and document relevant information in the patient chart.
- Facilitate communication between patient/family and interdisciplinary team, coordinating services related to patient care.
- Assist patients in locating available community resources.
- Collaborate interprofessionally.
- Act as a resource to LPN/LVNs and medical assistants.
- Graduate from an accredited professional nursing program (BSN preferred).
- Current RN state license and registration with the state board of nursing in the practicing state.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Maintain continuing education requirements.
- Entry level: 0‑3 years nursing experience, oncology experience strongly preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of nursing experience, oncology experience strongly preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of nursing experience, including at least one year in oncology.
- Oncology certification preferred.

Physical RequirementsFull range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients and items up to 40 lbs. Requires standing and walking for extended periods; corrected vision and hearing within normal range.
