Overview

Texas Oncology is looking for a Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Frisco location. This full‑time, Monday–Friday position (8:30 am–5:00 pm) provides nursing care without weekend, on‑call or major holiday shifts.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote continuity of care in accordance with established standards.
  • Assess health status by interviewing patients regarding current status and medical history.
  • Assess patient and family needs and provide teaching and instructional materials.
  • Provide psychosocial support to patients and families.
  • Facilitate clinical operations and patient care.
  • Manage medication refill requests from the pharmacy telephone line and record the information in the patient chart.
  • Facilitate and schedule consultations, pre‑testing, diagnostic tests or procedures, referrals and future appointments.
  • Triage patient phone calls as needed and document relevant information in the patient chart.
  • Facilitate communication between patient/family and interdisciplinary team, coordinating services related to patient care.
  • Assist patients in locating available community resources.
  • Collaborate interprofessionally.
  • Act as a resource to LPN/LVNs and medical assistants.
Qualifications Education / Training
  • Graduate from an accredited professional nursing program (BSN preferred).
  • Current RN state license and registration with the state board of nursing in the practicing state.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Maintain continuing education requirements.
Level I
  • Entry level: 0‑3 years nursing experience, oncology experience strongly preferred.
Level II
  • Minimum 3 years of nursing experience, oncology experience strongly preferred.
Level Senior
  • Minimum 5 years of nursing experience, including at least one year in oncology.
  • Oncology certification preferred.
