Position

Registered Nurse (RN) PRN – Surgery.

Texas Health Frisco, 12400 N Dallas Parkway TX 75033

PRN – Variable shifts.

• Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team.
• 8 Operating Rooms including 3 Robotic Operating Rooms.
• Center of excellence for Bariatric surgery.

• Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program or Diploma Nurse Program.
• BSN preferred.
• One-year experience as a registered nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.
• RN with one year of Operating Room circulator experience in a hospital setting (preferred).
• RN
  - Registered Nurse upon hire (Required upon hire).
• BCLS
  - Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required upon hire).
• ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 days required.

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process.
• Assesses the patient.
• Plans the care of the patient.
• Intervenes as appropriate.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions.
• Incorporates age-specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant other’s need for information.
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out-of-hospital transfers.
