Overview
Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) to support the Infusion Department at Frisco West (occasionally at Frisco Centennial). Typical hours are Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., with no weekends, calls, or major holidays.
Responsibilities- Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote continuity of care consistent with established standards and practices.
- Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching and instructional material.
- Prepare and administer therapies under the direction and supervision of a physician.
- Administer all medications and blood products using correct dosage, route, time and technique.
- Ensure pre‑authorization and appropriate consent forms are obtained prior to therapy administration where applicable.
- Facilitate dose modifications by assessing the patient, reviewing labs, consulting protocol or treatment plan, calculating dose, and consulting the physician regarding dosage changes and symptom management.
- Perform venipuncture, access implanted ports, and maintain central line catheter devices.
- Maintain accurate documentation of assigned patient care and treatments provided.
- Apply knowledge of reimbursement procedures and charge capture.
The ideal candidate will have the following background and experience:
Education / Training Level I- Graduate from an accredited nursing program, BSN preferred.
- Registered Nurse (RN) state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Maintain continuing education requirements.
- Entry level – 0 to 3 years of nursing experience; oncology experience strongly preferred.
- Minimum three (3) years of nursing experience; oncology experience strongly preferred.
- Minimum five (5) years of nursing experience, including at least one year in oncology.
- Oncology certification preferred.

Physical RequirementsRequires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye‑hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 lbs. Requires corrected vision and hearing within normal range.
