Job Overview
Cross Country Nurses is seeking a Travel Nurse RN for Labor and Delivery in Frisco, Texas. This 13‑week assignment starts on 08/24/2026 and requires a 36‑hour per week commitment on days shifts of 12 hours each. The nursing role involves providing specialized care for patients during labor, ante‑partum, and postpartum recovery, and supporting a busy unit that handles inductions, cesarean sections, and TOLAC procedures.
ResponsibilitiesThe assignment includes responsibilities such as:
- Delivering hands‑on clinical care to laboring patients.
- Assisting with operative deliveries, including cesarean sections and TOLAC procedures.
- Monitoring fetal and maternal status using electronic fetal monitors.
- Co‑ordinating with the multidisciplinary team to maintain patient safety and positive outcomes.
- Adhering to unit policies and guidelines and staying current with best practices.
- Assisting with newborn care and parental education in the immediate postpartum period.
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of Texas.
- Valid certifications:
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). - Minimum 2 years of recent labor and delivery nursing experience.
- Current licensure and willingness to reside in or travel to Frisco, Texas.
- Preferred experience with scrub capabilities and charge nurse duties.
- Willingness to work 12‑hour day shifts, rotating with four weekend shifts and one on‑call shift per schedule.
