Role: Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant
Status: Full-time
Salary: Negotiable and based on experience
Schedule: Consistent, predictable scheduling with no nights or weekend hours

As a Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant at Blackstone Animal Hospital, you'll work alongside our veterinarians and support team to deliver compassionate, high-quality care while helping keep each day running smoothly.
- Triage patients and obtain thorough medical histories
- Collect and document patient vital signs and assessments
- Safely handle and restrain patients during examinations, treatments, and procedures
- Assist veterinarians with appointments, treatments, and medical procedures
- Support surgical procedures, including patient preparation, monitoring, recovery, and instrument care
- Assist with dental procedures and patient monitoring
- Collect and prepare diagnostic samples based on experience and training
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian and within the scope of your role
- Monitor patients and communicate changes in condition to the medical team
- Educate clients about patient care, medications, discharge instructions, and preventive healthcare
- Maintain accurate and complete medical records
- Keep treatment and patient-care areas clean, organized, stocked, and ready for the next patient
