Job Description
Omni PGA Frisco Resort is seeking a friendly and welcoming Server (Part Time) | Lounge by Top Golf to join our team. The resort offers 127,000 square feet of event space, 13 food and beverage outlets, a spa, and a full entertainment district. Lounge by Top Golf serves high-energy, chef-driven food with quality ingredients, a large selection of local craft beers, and elevated cocktails.
- Provide prompt, courteous service to guests and maintain genuine care in interactions.
- Greet guests entering the restaurant with a pleasant smile and superior customer service.
- Take orders and answer questions/offer suggestions on both food and beverage menu selections, and daily specials.
- Communicate with the culinary team regarding meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests.
- Record transactions in MICROS and adhere to cash handling standards.
- Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each course and/or beverage.
- Present accurate checks and process payments.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas and complete station setup and breakdown, along with other side work duties as assigned.
- Ensure tables are set up properly and glasses are polished and cleaned.
- Provide service according to Omni Moments of Service Standards.
- Be pleasant, smile, and greet all guests, using surnames when obtained.
- Clear and reset service areas and protect the hotel from liability with regard to over-serving guests.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the restaurant manager.
- Minimum 1-year serving experience; high-volume sports/live entertainment bar experience preferred.
- Must have unexpired Food Handlers and TABC certifications or obtain upon hire.
- Developed knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer with experience selling and presenting specialty cocktails.
- Previous cash handling experience preferred.
- Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate in English with guests, management, and co-workers.
- Ability to input information into MICROS accurately and efficiently.
- Ability to handle stressful situations with a calm and welcoming demeanor.
- Ability to work cohesively with co-workers within and outside of your department.
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and follow up on guest requests in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent customer service, service recovery, and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Position requires frequent bending, reaching overhead, twisting, and consistent use of hands and arms.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods in indoor/outdoor environments.
