Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Back-of-House (BOH) Manager to join our team at Chick-fil-A. The BOH Manager will oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food preparation, maintaining high culinary standards, and managing a team of kitchen staff. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional food quality and service.
Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate all culinary activities in the kitchen, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Manage and train kitchen staff, including cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers.
- Create and maintain staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and manage labor costs.
- Oversee food preparation processes to maintain consistency and quality in menu items.
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to minimize waste and ensure availability.
- Collaborate with the Front-of-House Manager to optimize workflow and enhance overall restaurant efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
- Handle and resolve any kitchen-related issues or conflicts promptly and professionally.
- Conduct regular inspections of kitchen equipment and facilities to ensure functionality and cleanliness.
- Implement and enforce health and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager, BOH Manager, or similar role in a restaurant setting, preferably in fast-paced environments.
- Strong leadership and managerial skills with the ability to motivate and coach a diverse team.
- Extensive knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office and restaurant management software (e.g., POS systems).
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Food Safety Manager Certification is a plus.
