Retail Sales or Stock - Centre at Preston Ridge Rack

Overview

We are currently hiring for Stock team members starting at 4 AM in a fast‑paced, high‑energy environment. As a Nordstrom Rack team member you will continuously move, collaborate with teammates, and create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all customers.

Sales & Customer Service:

• Work with the team to ensure the salesfloor stays runway ready, and is sized and filled in through re‑merchandising and straightening throughout the day.
• Assist customers when cashiering with a variety of transactions across different platforms (in‑store, online, and mobile), operating a point‑of‑sale system, bagging items of all sizes, handling bulky, sometimes heavy items including boxes, and ensuring a seamless and friendly experience.
• Create a smooth fitting room experience by greeting and assisting customers, and sorting and returning clothing to the floor.
• Keep the stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed.
• Demonstrate expertise in all technologies used in the store environment.
• Adhere to all operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards.
• Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.

Stock Support & Fulfillment:

• Receive, unload freight, unpack, and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments.
• Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner following quality standards.
• Prepare and ship customer orders, following quality, packing, and shipping standards.
• Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes.
• Assist in maintaining clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
• Provide general support to the store, e.g., set up special events, organize backroom, markdowns, and relocate store fixtures.

• Organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.

Continuous movement for 6‑8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching to handle merchandise and assist customers. Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling. Handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, including lifting items above the head. Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds. Stock and Fulfillment only:
Frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Pay range(s) provided in compliance with state specific laws:

• $16.20 – $16.85 per hour (may vary by location, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience).
