Scope of PositionResponsible for generating business for Haskell in targeted markets and assisting with the Division’s marketing initiative. General duties may include conducting research, making initial and follow‑up contacts, development of qualification statements and proposals, and undertaking other tasks that will lead to new business opportunities.
Job Responsibilities- Conduct appropriate research to identify target companies/organizations within industry segments denoted in the business unit plan
- Contact, qualify, and set appointments with targets via telephone and electronic means
- Provide targets with appropriate Haskell marketing material and respond to specific interests identified by targets
- Visit qualified targets and/or arrange for personal sales calls by appropriate Haskell personnel
- Prepare qualification statements and assist in preparing responses to proposals for specific projects
- Develop and maintain relationships with local and national civic, professional, and economic organizations that are sources of prospects
- Maintain up‑to‑date prospect files and electronic databases
- Develop and manage a public relations program
- Represent Haskell at trade shows, conventions, and professional meetings
- Take other steps as directed by the Director of Business Development to assist in securing additional projects
- 4+ years of relevant experience in a related field, e.g., architecture, engineering, construction, sales and marketing
- Demonstrated experience within the aviation and aerospace industry
- Proven success in sales, business development, and client prospecting
- Experience with in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry strongly preferred
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the position requires ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate light to medium weights of 10–50 pounds. Requires good hand‑eye coordination, arm, hand, and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment, and read application/form information.
The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear.
