Strategic Account Manager
The Enterprise Strategic Account Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth, retention, and expansion across a defined set of named enterprise accounts. This role owns the end-to-end sales lifecycle—from executive-level discovery through contract negotiation, onboarding alignment, renewal, and expansion. Success in this role is measured by quota attainment, forecast accuracy, customer retention, and pipeline health.
The Enterprise Strategic Account Manager is responsible for:
- Owning a named portfolio of enterprise accounts with an annual attainable quota
- Achieving 100%+ of annual quota through new logo expansion, upsell, and renewal growth
- Driving minimum 15–30% year-over-year account growth
- Maintaining account retention of 95%+ and net revenue retention of 110%+
Selling directly to C-suite, VP, and Director-level buyers
Leading executive discovery and multi-stakeholder sales cycles
Closing complex enterprise deals ranging from $50K–$1M+ ARR
Maintaining forecast accuracy within ±10%
Maintaining pipeline coverage of at least 3x quota
Ensuring accurate Salesforce updates including close plans, risks, and next steps
Communicating deal readiness during weekly forecast reviews
Leading pricing, legal, and commercial negotiations
Closing multi-year enterprise contracts involving procurement and legal
Improving sales cycle efficiency year-over-year
Serving as executive sponsor post-sale
Partnering with Customer Success to ensure onboarding and ROI realization
Identifying and closing expansion opportunities within 6–12 months
Acting as internal subject-matter expert for assigned verticals
Contributing to sales strategy, messaging, and enablement
Establishing cross-functional collaboration with interdepartmental stakeholders
Mentoring and supporting enterprise sales team members
Completing onboarding and training certifications within 30 days
Building strategic account plans for all assigned accounts
Generating $1M+ in qualified pipeline
Closing first deal or expansion within 90 days
The expected annual pay range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000. This position is also eligible for bonus opportunities. Please note that final offer amount will be dependent on geographic location, applicable experience, and skillset of the candidate.
