Retail Security Guard

4:00 PM – 12:00 AM (Wednesday and Thursday off). Weekend and holiday availability required.

Starting at $16.00 per hour, depending on experience.

• Help supervise operations of an assigned client site on the assigned shift.
• Report directly to Site Supervisor/Director and/or Marksman / Titan Management.
• Manage a team of security officers, including scheduling, payroll, training, coaching, development and support.
• Ensure the client site is provided with high-quality security services to protect people and property.
• Handle all escalated security issues or emergency situations appropriately.
• Develop staff in both technical and professional skills through performance management (coaching, recognition, etc.).
• Foster a positive work environment by treating staff with respect.
• Coordinate and/or conduct site-specific training, client-specific training and annual refresher training for staff per Titan’s training standards.
• Reconcile logs, shift responsibilities and patrols; review incident reports before submission to Site Supervisor/Director and coordinate preliminary investigations.
• Develop/maintain operational procedures and post orders available for emergency reference by staff.
• Train and qualify to work assigned posts; understand post instructions and maintain knowledge of additional emergency instructions called for by the client.
• Maintain access control procedures set by building management and effectively utilize access control, visitor management and CCTV systems as needed.
• Identify tenants and/or visitors on arrival; ensure visitors and vendors are signed in prior to access.
• Observe departing personnel to guard against theft of tenant or building property.
• Monitor security cameras within the facility and respond to incidents including property emergencies.
• Conduct general patrols of the property, including stairs and exterior patrols in various weather conditions.
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods as required.
• Assist tenants and visitors with directions and general information.
• Record data clearly and accurately (property damage, unusual occurrences, equipment malfunctions) for building and Titan management; maintain logs regarding people and property, including packages.
• Provide excellent customer service to all parties encountered on duty.

• Education and/or
  
  Experience:
  
  High School diploma or GED and 3 years of prior satisfactory employment as a security officer or related experience. Must be at least 25 years of age.
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid Level II Texas Security License and a valid driver’s license.

  Skills:
  
  Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Bi-lingual is a plus.

  Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check. Must maintain a working telephone number for contact.
• Physical Demands: Able to stand for extended periods, lift/push/pull at least 50 lbs, perform interior and exterior foot patrols, and work in various weather conditions.
