Das Installation And Integration Specialist

Summary:

Responsible for the installation of portions of WiFi, Cellular and Public Safety In-Building Das, Bda, Dran, Private Lte, and Rooftop Small Cell systems. Familiarity with Das commissioning, Das integration, Das optimization, and Rf/construction feasibility surveys.

Das Installation And Integration Specialist Profile And Responsibilities:
  • Knowledge of Distributed Antenna Systems
  • Detail-oriented and results-driven individual, knowledgeable and competent in Rf and optical distribution of Rf signals.
  • Knowledge of Rf testing devices such as PIM, Sweep, Signal Generators, testing devices, category cable testing, and fiber optic cable testing.
  • Knowledge of the installation and termination of coax cabling; 1⁄2", 1⁄4", and Lmr types. Competent in installation and termination of fiber optic cabling, splicing, and end face scoping.
  • Knowledge of the installation and termination of head-end battery back-up and power distribution systems.
  • Understanding of wireless service provider system standards of installation, launch, and optimization of in-building systems a plus.
  • Good communication skills. The ability to consume complex information and translate the information for internal and external teams in a simple, clear, organized fashion required.
  • Experience with in-building construction of low voltage systems from inception to close-out.
  • Willing, able, and motivated to travel to support company activities as needed. 30% travel expectation outside of the Chicagoland area.
  • Maintains project timelines and communicates schedule and any potential disruptions with all invested parties.
  • Communicates all timelines with the Project Director, internal and external staff, and the Customer.
  • Reviews and complete all documentation and ensures it meets all installation standards.
  • Maintains open and accurate communication with the Project Director.
  • Reviews and approves time logs of field service technicians under supervision as needed.
  • Able to create construction punch lists upon the conclusion of a project and communicate remediation steps back to contractor.
  • Maintains completion of safety review with onsite installation personnel.
  • Follows safety policies for safe work.
  • Accurately assess project conditions via site surveys while recording accurate and useful notes for the project team.
  • Completes site walks and surveys site conditions.
  • Coordinates installations with the Customer and venue.
  • Ensures all materials necessary for installation are procured and available at the site for the installation team.
  • Supervises and works alongside field service technicians and contractors to ensure installations are being completed per Oem, wireless service provider, Customer, and Wireless Concepts standards.
  • Provides support to other team members and staff as needed.
Das Installation And Integration Specialist

Qualifications:
  • 2-4 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid driver's license (required).
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency (required).
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with Rf in-building systems of any kind (Public Safety, Private Cellular, Public Cellular) (required).
  • Knowledge or at least basic familiarity with a variety of Das platforms including Jma, Solid, Commscope, Adrf, and/or Corning.
  • 1-2 years of low voltage cable installation experience (required).
  • Anritsu Site Master:
    Line Sweep Certified and proficiency with PIM Gear, OTDR, Fluke Testers, CW Testers, PCTel, and signal generators.
  • Fiber optic fusion splicing experience (preferred)
  • OSHA-10 and OSHA-30 Certifications (preferred)
  • BICSI certification (preferred)
  • Stable work history
  • Weekend and night work availability, if needed.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
