Sr. Software Engineer - Billing Platform

Position Summary

At T-Mobile, Senior Software Engineers design, build, and deploy scalable software solutions that meet customer needs and support highly available systems. They collaborate with other engineers to develop modern software components using technologies such as microservices, virtualization, software‑defined networking, network functions virtualization, and big data. Senior Engineers use independent judgment to solve complex technical problems and guide software design decisions. Success is defined by delivering reliable, well‑integrated solutions that align with both business goals and technical requirements.

This work plays a key role in advancing T‑Mobile’s capabilities by enabling efficient, high‑performing systems that enhance operations and customer experience.

• Develop software solutions and conduct tests to drive engineering projects and ensure quality deliverables.
• Contribute to design innovations that improve systems, processes, or services using new frameworks and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with technical teams to deliver solutions and mentor others through knowledge sharing and training sessions.
• Support technology strategy by evaluating and applying current technologies that align with business goals.
• Create clear documentation for software code, system designs, and business requirements to support knowledge sharing.
• Also responsible for other duties/projects assigned by business management as needed.

• Telecom Billing Domain experience (Preferred).
• Experience developing telecom billing customer service management tools (Preferred).
• 4–7+ years technical engineering experience (Required).
• Bachelor’s Degree plus 5 years of related work experience OR Advanced degree with 3 years of related experience (Required).
• Acceptable areas of study include Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management, or equivalent experience in the field (Required).

• Hands on development experience with C and C++ (Required).
• Experience in Oracle and SQL (Required).
• Tuxedo development (Preferred).
• Communication (Required).
• Analytics (Required).
• Technical Writing (Required).

• At least 18 years of age.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Base Pay Range: $113,600 - $205,000 (Corporate Bonus Target: 15%)
