Firmware Architect

Overview

Firmware Architect role with a hybrid work model requiring on-average 2 days per week in an HPE office. Lead architectural decisions for Gen
13 servers, resolve complex system-level firmware trade-offs early in design, and ensure scalability, performance, and long-term maintainability.

• Develop organization-wide architectures and methodologies for software systems design and development across multiple platforms and organizations within the Global Business Unit.
• Identify and evaluate new technologies, innovations, and outsourced development partner relationships for alignment with the technology roadmap and business value; create plans for integration and update into architecture.
• Review and evaluate designs and project activities for compliance with development guidelines and standards; provide tangible feedback to improve product quality and mitigate failure risk.
• Leverage domain expertise, business acumen, and experience to influence decisions of executive leadership, outsourced partners, and industry standards groups.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff to promote innovation and excellence in software systems design and development.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent; typically 10+ years of experience.
• Experience designing and developing software systems design tools and languages; ability to architect software systems for products and solutions across multiple platforms.
• Experience evaluating testing forms and processes, including writing and executing test plans, debugging, and tooling.
• History of innovation with patents or deployed solutions in software design; strong written and verbal communication skills in English and local language.
• Ability to communicate product architectures and design proposals to business unit and executive levels.
• Knowledge of Redfish standards and demonstrated experience in scaling firmware across multiple management processors;
  Open BMC and Yocto environment familiarity; secure software development lifecycle experience.
