These positions are contingent upon contract award.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Canine Academies has a requirement for scenario-based role players to support canine (K9) training facilities at Front Royal, VA.

CBP secures the national border while facilitating lawful trade and travel. The CBP Canine Academy in Front Royal supports this mission by providing advanced training to canine teams (dog and handler). Training may occur in real‑world environments.

• Able to work indoors/outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Must provide own weather gear, insect repellent, water, sun protection, and suitable footwear.
• Must arrange own transportation from home to the Academy and back.
• No fear of dogs; proximity must be tolerated but no compulsory contact.
• Must report in good health; must comply with mandatory health and safety precautions (masks, sanitizer) as required.
• No alcohol consumption 12 hours before or during work.
• Dress code: full‑coverage footwear (no shorts, flip‑flops, sandals, high heels); long pants, shirts or skirts to protect against weather; no provocative clothing. CBP may reject applicants for inappropriate dress or actions.
• Adhere to CBP Non‑Fraternization Policy.
• Must be able to walk 4–6 miles per day when required.
• At times role players must hide in various spaces including confined spaces, and lie, sit, or stand quietly for up to one hour.
• May be required to read aloud scripts simulating field scenarios.

• Prior decoy training or higher education is not required.
