Construction Equipment ManagerTerra Constructs is seeking an experienced, dependable and organized Equipment Manager to oversee the tracking, scheduling, and upkeep of company tools and heavy equipment across multiple job sites. This role will also support yard and shop organization/maintenance, ensuring equipment is stored properly, work areas remain clean and efficient, and crews have what they need to stay productive.
Key Responsibilities- Manage inventory of company tools, machinery, and heavy equipment across all job sites
- Track equipment assignments, locations, usage, and return schedules
- Coordinate equipment deliveries, transfers, and pickups between yard/shop and job sites
- Perform routine equipment inspections and ensure equipment is safe and job-ready
- Schedule preventative maintenance, servicing, and repairs to reduce downtime
- Maintain service logs and document equipment condition and work completed
- Coordinate with vendors for repairs, parts, and rental equipment when necessary
- Communicate with supervisors and project teams to plan equipment needs in advance
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized yard/shop area
- Ensure tools and materials are properly stored, labeled, secured, and ready for use
- Support shop workflow by keeping work areas clear, supplies stocked, and equipment staged for mobilization
- Help enforce yard/shop safety practices and keep walkways and storage areas free of hazards
- Monitor and report missing, damaged, or misused equipment and tools
- 2+ years experience in equipment management, construction operations, yard/shop management, or a similar role preferred
- Familiarity with construction tools and heavy equipment (excavators, skid steers, loaders, forklifts, etc.)
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-moving environment with multiple job sites
- Experienced using tracking logs, spreadsheets, and/or equipment management software
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Valid driver’s license (required)
- Able to lift, move, and handle tools/materials as needed
