Overview
The Radiologic Technologist is an important position on our team which works with other staff in achieving high quality, patient-centered care. This position requires the desire and ability to work with all types of patients from pediatrics to geriatrics. The Radiologic Technologist collaborates with a multidisciplinary team of Medical Assistants, LPNs, Paramedics, and Radiologic Technologists, and often works with the Registration team, Provider team, and other departments to provide seamless, high-quality care to our patients.
This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to work calmly under stressful conditions within time constraints.
- Collaborate with medical staff and departments to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Work with patients across the lifespan, from pediatrics to geriatrics.
- Communicate effectively and maintain composure under time constraints and stressful situations.
- Education:
High School Diploma or GED required. - Certification & Licensure:
Licensed in the State of Virginia or West Virginia depending on location of primary position. Secondary state licensure may be required within six months of hire. ARRT registration required at time of employment. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required. - BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart Health Care Provider (HCP) - AHA approved; new hires must have appropriate AHA certification prior to completion of orientation.
- Be cross-trained in areas as designated by Urgent Care/Occupational Health management within 45 days of employment.
- Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles across the life span and the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status to provide age-appropriate care.
