The 3rd Shift Production/Sanitation Supervisor is a combined leadership role responsible for overseeing all end‑of‑shift production activities and leading the full sanitation cycle through start‑up. This position supervises hourly production and sanitation team members across both functions, ensuring a seamless hand‑off between production and sanitation, full regulatory compliance, and a safe, clean facility ready for the next production run. This role exercises independent authority and judgment on the overnight shift.
ProductionResponsibilities
- Promotes and encourages a safe, positive, and productive work environment across all shift activities.
- Understands, follows, and enforces all established safety, health, quality GMP, and Company policies, procedures, and recognized practices.
- Exercises authority and independent judgment on the shift to resolve production and quality issues as they arise.
- Manages staffing assignments for the shift to achieve plant production and labor objectives.
- Anticipates and determines causes of delays in shift operations and takes appropriate action to meet production schedules.
- Accurately confirms production counts and reviews all production paperwork for accuracy on a daily basis to ensure compliance and update department KPIs.
- Accountable for shift documentation including decisions, issues, actions, and status updates for compliance and continuous improvement.
- Responsible for the quality of product produced on the shift and for corrective action on food safety and quality problems.
- Drives continuous improvement initiatives in safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Effectively communicates pertinent information to management and other departments.
- Helps develop new methods and procedures to optimize manufacturing efficiencies.
- Maintains a supportive and productive work atmosphere through professional conduct and effective communication.
- Directs and assists the sanitation team in completing all daily sanitation duties in a hands‑on supervisory capacity.
- Leads sanitation team members to be compliant with all Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs).
- Completes pre‑operational inspection activities to verify all equipment and tools are properly cleaned and sanitized before production start‑up.
- Responsible for completing sanitation documentation of all day‑to‑day activities.
- Maintains inventory of sanitation chemicals and tools necessary to complete the job.
- Guides team members in occupational and food safety best practices.
- Works closely with Quality Assurance on the environmental monitoring program and develops root cause and corrective action plans.
- Motivates and assists team members to complete sanitation duties in a timely manner to support scheduled production start times.
- 3–5 years of relevant supervisory experience in food manufacturing, production, or sanitation operations.
- Prior experience in sanitation supervision or food plant sanitation preferred.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills (written and verbal).
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to food safety and quality.
- Ability to work overnight hours (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM), Monday through Friday.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.

Front Royal, VA 22630 (located on the Corridor Connector transit system Rt. 340/522 service area) - Reliable commute or relocation required before starting work
- Pay:
Commensurate with experience
Salary: $30 – $35 per hour
