Location: Royal, VA 22630 | Fully Onsite
Pay: $20.00/hr

Duration: 3 Months+
Hours: Monday-Friday; 7:30 AM-4:00 PM

Job Summary

Axalta is seeking a Laborer to support daily Continuous Improvement, Safety, Quality, and Housekeeping initiatives. This hands-on role will assist with 5S activities throughout the facility using painting equipment, hand tools, and other mechanical equipment.

Job Description

• Clean walls, ledges, flat surfaces, floors, and equipment.

• Paint floor and wall markings according to 5S standards.

• Organize and arrange tools, equipment, and work areas.

• Use an air chisel for floor-cleaning activities.

• Assist with 5S activities, including Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain.

• Label equipment and use a stencil maker to create floor-marking labels.

• Perform basic computer tasks to track Continuous Improvement progress.

• Follow established safety procedures and standard operating procedures.

• Regularly stand, walk, reach, stoop, and perform repetitive motions.

• Routinely lift and move up to 50 lbs.

• Work around moving mechanical equipment and in hot, cold, or humid conditions.

Required Skills

• Ability to safely operate various types of mechanical equipment and hand tools.

• Basic math skills.

• Basic computer/PC skills;
  Microsoft Word and Excel experience is a plus.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs routinely.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Ability to multitask with minimal supervision.

• Comfortable working in an industrial environment with moderate noise, fumes, airborne particles, and chemicals.

• Ability to work an 8-hour shift.

• Must successfully complete required background screening and drug testing.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
