Job Overview
Registered professional nurse responsible for utilizing job skills to effectively carry out the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, evaluation, documentation, and time management. Responsible for quality communication, teamwork, leadership, and professionalism. Also directs, coordinates, and implements patient teaching, quality/safety initiatives, and activities of other health team personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing.

Work Shift:
Second Shift (United States of America).
Care the population assigned. Complete yearly mandatory competencies, unit-specific competencies, and Professional Practice Ladder requirements, including assuming responsibility as Charge Nurse, PI activity, department initiatives, and communication with director/designee and co-workers. Routinely solicit and validate patient/family satisfaction, participate in peer review for unit, and develop bulletin board or poster providing educational information to staff, patients, and family members.
EducationAssociate's Nursing (RN Diploma, ASN or ADN) required. Bachelor's Nursing (BSN) preferred.
ExperienceMinimum of 1872 full-time or part-time hours (936 if hold BSN) of RN experience and completion of a performance evaluation.
Certification & LicensesRN license required. Must be licensed or eligible to practice pending licensure as a Registered Nurse in the applicable state (Virginia or West Virginia) under the Nurse Licensure Compact or a single-state license. BLS certification (Basic Life Support) – American Heart “Healthcare Provider” (HCP) – AHA approved required. New hires must have AHA appropriate certification prior to completion of orientation. Relevant specialty certification is preferred.
QualificationsMeets all requirements of an RN I. Competent to provide care based on cognitive, physical, emotional, and chronological stages of human growth and development. Competent to provide care using the nursing process. Must have a reliable means of phone communication with hospital.
