The Sr. Field Technician role is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Front Royal, VA. In this role, the technician installs, configures, and maintains VoIP systems, wired and wireless networks, and related telecommunications equipment at customer locations. Responsibilities include troubleshooting service issues, performing diagnostics, and completing repairs to ensure optimal system uptime and performance. The Sr. Field Technician conducts site surveys, assists with system design, and collaborates with project managers to deliver solutions that meet customer requirements.

The role also involves documenting work performed, training customers on system use, and providing clear, professional communication throughout each service visit. This position may require occasional after‑hours work to support critical installations or emergency service needs.

• Strong hands‑on skills in installing and maintaining VoIP systems, routers, switches, and wired/wireless network infrastructure.
• Experience with access control, security systems, and low‑voltage cabling, including testing, labeling, and basic endpoint configuration.
• Proficiency in network troubleshooting tools and techniques, including diagnosing connectivity issues, hardware failures, and configuration problems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, network diagrams, and installation plans, and to document service work accurately.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in clear, accessible language.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently in the field, manage time effectively, and prioritize multiple service calls or projects.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; ability to travel to customer sites in Northern Virginia and the Shenandoah Valley.
• Relevant technical certifications (e.g., Network+, security or access control certifications, manufacturer‑specific credentials) are preferred.
• Previous experience as a field technician or in a similar telecommunications, networking, or security systems role is strongly beneficial.
