Position Description

Class A CDL Truck Driver in Front Royal, VA.

Weekly pay of $1,505 or more with bonus structures.

  • Solo Miles Pay: $0.65 per mile with 2,200 miles per week.
  • Solo Stops Pay: $25.00 per stop with 6 stops per week.
  • 3–4 layovers per week.
  • Paid training.
  • Schedule:

    Sunday—Friday.
  • Start time: 9:00 PM–3:00 AM dispatch.

Job Details
  • Route:
    Regional (Solo to VA, PA, MD, OH, CT, NJ, ME, DE, NC & NY, no NYC).
  • Tractor type:
    Sleeper, Refrigerators and Inverters.
  • Trailer type:
    Dry Van & Reefer 53’.
  • Freight:
    No Touch – Food Goods.
  • Endorsements:
    Hazmat preferred (reimburse cost and provide training to obtain endorsements).
Requirements
  • Minimum 21 years of age.
  • Pass a Ryder drug test.
  • Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
  • Pass a DOT physical.
  • Pass a Ryder road test.
  • Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements.
  • Must have Class A verifiable experience:
  • • 9 months experience within the past 3 years, or
  • • 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, or
  • • 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years.
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines.
  • Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards; maintain accurate records and logs.
  • Load/Unload freight or assist in loading/unloading freight if required by customer.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
