Are you an organized, detail-oriented legal professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment? Our boutique family law firm in the heart of Rockville Town Center is looking for a talented Legal Assistant/Receptionist to support our growing practice.

What You’ll Do:
  • Answering the majority of incoming phone calls
  • Performing client intake support, conflict checks, and retainer processing when needed
  • Be the face of our office – opening the front door, welcoming clients or potential new clients upon arrival, signing for packages, etc.
  • Handling incoming and outgoing mail
  • Processing electronic filings from the court by saving to file and sending to clients
  • Maintaining calendars, managing deadlines, and scheduling meetings, calls, hearings, and mediations
  • Drafting, proofreading, and formatting legal documents and correspondence
  • Assisting attorneys and paralegals with trial preparation and managing document productions (redacting, Bates stamping, etc.) as needed
  • Other administrative tasks as assigned
  • Occasionally lifting up to 20 lbs
What We’re Looking For:
  • Punctual, dependable, and driven by a commitment to excellent client service
  • Previous experience working in a law firm required - family law experience is a plus
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities with keen attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Excel, Adobe Acrobat, Dropbox/Sharefile, MDEC, and MyCase preferred
  • Some college preferred, but a degree is not required
