Qualifications & Desired Background:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification/license for K-12 (state-specific credentials preferred)
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related discipline
- Previous classroom experience in special education settings
- Ability to quickly build rapport with students, families, and school teams
- Flexibility adapting to new environments and procedures
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure student success
- Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction tailored to varied learning needs
- Manage classroom behaviors with positive, proactive strategies
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress
