POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for the delivery of quality care to the patient/resident/client as directed by the Occupational Therapist(s) treatment plan.

EDUCATION (must be required for position), LICENSE, CERTIFICATION and

EXPERIENCE:

1.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required, Associates degree associated with COTA program
2. Licenses:
Must have a current State of Colorado license in good standing.
3.

Certifications:

Must be Certified as an Occupational Therapy Assistant as approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
Current BLS Certification, or receive within 30 days of hire
4.

Experience:

No experience required, new grads encouraged to apply.

REQUIRED SCREENINGS:

  • Drug Screen
  • Physical Assessment
  • Tuberculosis screen
  • Background check (Criminal, Civil, Educational, Previous Employment, etc.)
  • Driver Record screen (positions requiring on-the-job driving)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Reliable and punctual attendance is essential; expected to be at job as scheduled each scheduled day.
  • Communicate necessary information to others as appropriate.
  • Deliver occupational therapy services as planned, delegated and directed by Occupational Therapist.
  • Document services provided.
  • Report the condition of the patient/resident/client to the care team(s).
  • Display critical thinking skills to assess and provide care to individual patient care needs.
  • Provide care to assure compliance with insurance carries that is medically justified and skilled.
  • Comply with ethical standards of practice and follows the Colorado State Practice act.
