Job Summary: Electrical technicians perform skilled and semi-skilled work in the maintenance and retrofitting of existing lighting fixtures. This role starts as a local opportunity and may become a travel position. Candidates must be open to travel for work following the duration of the project.
Essential Duties:
- Retrofit existing lighting fixtures, install LED light bar kits, replace fluorescent and LED lamps, change socket bars and sockets, install reflectors, install door kits, and replace pins or screws in lamps.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment to retrofit, replace, and repair lighting fixtures.
- Assist with loading or unloading trucks and staging material when needed.
- Work on elevated platforms, including ladders, scaffolding, scissor lifts, and other mechanized equipment.
- Install new fixtures and controls.
Qualifications:
- Pass a background check and drug screen.
- Have a valid driver’s license.
- Be able to travel for work.
Education/
Experience:
- High school diploma or GED, or 1–3 months related experience/training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
