Overview
We are looking to hire External Assistant Manager – Audit & Assurance (Fujairah).
Responsibilities- Ensure that all work allocated is carried out on a timely basis by the firm's professional standards.
- Manage a key client portfolio and build and maintain good working relationships with colleagues and clients.
- Coach, mentor and develop team members reporting to you while caring about their well-being.
- Assist the audit manager in establishing audit objectives and overall scope.
- Review audit work papers and ensure that audit files are completed on a timely manner, properly filed and maintained on the network.
- Discuss draft reports with the Audit Manager and assist in finalizing reports after comments from the audit management team.
- Manage client relations with senior management.
- Update clients and be the key contact for day-to-day queries for the allotted client portfolio.
- Assist and coordinate all aspects of audit planning, including resourcing requirements.
- Manage audit teams on specific assignments with explicit management timelines.
- Oversee a group of employees to ensure audit work is completed to meet objectives.
- Motivate, coach and provide feedback to team members through regular communication.
- Consistently achieve deadlines and understand the commercial implications of actions relating to productivity, recoverability, fee income and client service.
- Adhere to the firm’s risk management policies.
- Be involved in business development activities to identify and research opportunities on new or existing clients, while building and maintaining strong relationships with them.
- Candidate must be a CA/ACCA qualified.
- Minimum 4-6 years post-qualification experience in the same field from UAE-based firms.
- Extensive post-qualification experience in audit; keen to work with a diverse client portfolio. Prior experience as Senior Supervisor/Assistant Manager is an added advantage.
- Involved in and managed listed entity audits is an added advantage.
- Thorough knowledge and experience in IFRS Accounting Standards, IFRS for SMEs, International Standards on Auditing (ISA) and familiarity with UAE local laws and regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Clear understanding of audit methodologies and ability to train and guide team members.
- Salary as per industry standards.
