Responsibilities

The Commissaries Production Coordinator provides administrative and operational support to the production team in a fast paced Ready to Eat sushi manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for order coordination, data entry, customer and vendor support, and cross departmental communication to ensure accurate scheduling, efficient production flow, and timely fulfillment of customer orders.

  • Accurately entering data into computer databases and software, using keyboards, scanners, or other devices.
  • Comparing entered data with source documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintaining and updating existing data in databases and systems.
  • Organizing and maintaining both digital and physical files for easy retrieval and access.
  • Must be willing to walk the production floor to gather logs and/or other documentation.
  • Communicate well with supervisors and leads.
  • Must follow all GMP rules.
  • Review customer orders daily to ensure all orders are properly scheduled for production; clearly communicate any required changes or updates to affected departments.
  • Enter and maintain accurate order data in the Just Foods ERP system
    , ensuring proper setup and making system adjustments as needed.
  • Serve as a point of contact for incoming inquiries via email and phone, directing questions to the appropriate departments.
  • Assist in the coordination and maintenance of customer accounts, including outlining product details, confirming product availability, creating, and sending purchase orders.
  • Sort, review, and input vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Perform general administrative duties such as photocopying, filing, scanning, and faxing documents.
  • Act as a backup for the Customer Service / Order Desk team as needed to support order entry and customer communications.
  • Support cross‑functional communication between Production, Quality Assurance, Logistics, and Sales to ensure smooth operations.
  • Perform additional tasks and administrative projects as assigned by the Plant Manager.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or relevant coursework preferred.
  • Prior experience in food manufacturing, production administration, or order management is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems (Just Foods or similar) is a plus.
  • Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational, time‑management, and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, temperature‑controlled production environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
