Position Type: Full‑time 40% – 12 months per year

Position SummaryThis position performs routine clerical duties to support the assigned department or location. The role is subject to a six‑month probationary period upon hire.
Responsibilities- Enter and process registration forms and purchase requisitions.
- Issue parking permits, room keys, and distribute material as directed.
- Photocopy, type, and prepare forms, reports, correspondence, and classroom materials.
- Compile, maintain, and organize records, logs, and files (attendance, enrollment, applications, time‑sheets, mailing lists, inventory, statistical records).
- Answer phones, greet the public, provide routine information, and schedule appointments and meeting rooms.
- Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and handle outgoing mail as required.
- Operate office equipment (computer, typewriter, copier, cash register, postal machine, etc.) and arrange for servicing.
- Order and stock supplies; maintain adequate inventory.
- Provide training, direction, and guidance to other staff as directed.
- Apply emerging technologies and improvements to work processes.
- Participate in diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives and training.
- Perform related duties as assigned, including cashier duties such as receiving money, making change, and issuing refunds.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Sufficient training and experience to demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed in this description.

Typical work environment is a college or district office setting. The position requires prolonged sitting (2–3 hours) and repetitive use of upper extremities. Depending on the assigned area, lifting up to 50 pounds may be required.

This is a classified position subject to a six‑month probationary period. The Office of Human Resources will determine initial salary placement in accordance with board policy; salary is not negotiable. The selected candidate must provide identification, employment eligibility documentation, fingerprints, and required medical certification as outlined by the Immigration Reform and Control Act. NOCCCD will not sponsor any visa applications.
