Administrative Support Coordinator II, Chicana/o Studies
Classified as Administrative Support Coordinator II. Department:
Chicana/o Studies within the Division of Academic Affairs. Salary range: $4,367–$4,437 per month.
Work schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
The Administrative Support Coordinator II provides essential administrative support to the Chicana/o Studies department, facilitating faculty & staff operations, student engagement initiatives, and programmatic needs.
Essential Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent and at least three years of experience in general office, clerical, or administrative support; vocational or college training may substitute for experience on a year‑for‑year basis.
- Comprehensive and detailed knowledge of university infrastructure, policies, and procedures.
- Thorough mastery of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
- Expertise in using office software packages, technology, and systems.
- Ability to independently handle multiple priorities and projects across work units.
- Ability to independently interpret and apply policies and procedures, exercising judgment when precedents are lacking.
- Ability to troubleshoot administrative problems and address all inquiries and requests related to the work area.
- Ability to view problems from a broad perspective and anticipate impacts on other areas.
- Ability to analyze operational and procedural problems, recommend solutions, and evaluate proposed alternatives.
- Ability to perform business math, analyze budgetary data, and make accurate projections requiring inference.
- Ability to effectively write and present reports.
- Ability to handle interpersonal interactions at all levels, including highly sensitive situations.
- Ability to use negotiation and persuasion skills to achieve results and expedite projects.
- Completion of a satisfactory background check, including criminal history; conditional offer contingent on satisfactory check.
- Two years of experience working in an academic office setting.
