Department

The School of Accountancy in the College of Business and Economics and Division of Academic Affairs seeks an individual to support the academic and administrative functions of the school and its center and labs, contributing to the success of both students and faculty within the field of accountancy.

Duties and Responsibilities

Under the general supervision of the Director, the Coordinator provides administrative and coordination support for the School of Accountancy, coordinating priorities, ensuring end results, and maintaining a high level of organization.

Supports data collection, planning, and coordination of assessment activities each semester and contributes to the AACSB accreditation report and related documentation. Organizes committee and strategic plans, monitors action plans, and reviews policies related to AACSB accreditation.

Supports the Analytics Lab by coordinating schedules of assistants, supporting events such as datathons and guest speakers, and maintaining budget and clerical support for the Center for Corporate Reporting and Governance and Analytical Lab.

Prepares hospitality forms, travel documentation, invoices, scholarship payments, and manages grade changes, registration permits, course material reproduction, textbook orders, and other administrative tasks. Provides customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors; maintains webpages; updates social media platforms; compiles and distributes annual reports; assists student clubs; and provides backup support to the Administrative Support Coordinator II. Performs additional duties as assigned.

Essential

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent and two years of general office, clerical, or administrative support experience; or equivalent training at a vocational school or full‑time college. Thorough knowledge of university policies, procedures, English grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Proficiency with office systems and technology, ability to handle multiple priorities and projects, apply policies where guidelines are missing, knowledge of budget policies, perform business math, draft correspondence, and interact effectively with a broad range of contacts.

A successful background check, including a criminal records check, is required for employment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience managing budget responsibilities, including monitoring expenditures, reconciling accounts, tracking transactions, and ensuring fiscal compliance. Proficiency in mail merge and similar software for high‑volume communications. Event planning experience, including logistics, scheduling, vendor coordination, communication, and on‑site support.
