About the DepartmentThe Office of the Registrar within the Division of Academic Affairs serves students and the campus community by providing quality services that facilitate enrollment, retention, and degree completion while maintaining accurate academic records for the University. We also process transfer credit and maintain articulation agreements with other institutions. Additionally, we register new and continuing students for classes, maintain academic records, prepare transcripts and diplomas, and review petitions for exceptions to university policy.
ResponsibilitiesThe Assistant Registrar is a key member of the Office of the Registrar leadership team, providing oversight of core academic record systems and operational processes.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing daily operations related to graduation, transfer credit evaluation, student‑athlete certifications, and supervision of staff
- Ensuring integrity, accuracy, and efficiency of managing student records data
- Ensuring students meet degree requirements prior to graduation
- Interpreting, applying, and providing guidance on policies and regulations
- Participating in strategic initiatives, cross‑campus collaboration, and data‑informed decision making in support of student success and institutional goals
- Performing other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four‑year college or university
- Previous supervisory, management, or leadership experience
- Technical experience with student records systems and databases
- Experience evaluating source documents at the post‑secondary level
- Strong project management skills
- Strong communication skills
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Experience with College Source uAchieve
- Experience with Peoplesoft Student Administration
- Familiarity with CSU transfer policies and initiatives
A background check, including a criminal records check, must be completed satisfactorily and is required for employment.
