Department
The Division of Administration and Finance serves as the backbone of the CSUF campus, managing a wide array of operations from maintaining and enhancing university buildings and grounds to providing important business support services. Campus beautification, classroom improvements, and technological advancements, continue to be a priority as we enhance the learning environment and facilities. It is the mission of the Division to provide customer-focused administrative support and steward our physical and financial resources in order to fulfill the university’s mission and support student success.
Partnerships with the campus community and its many stakeholders are important in helping our operations provide excellent customer service and results. We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our Accounts Payable team as the Accounts Payable Analyst (Administrative Analyst/Specialist

Duties and Responsibilities
The Accounts Payable Analyst serves as a functional expert responsible for supporting, analyzing, and improving Accounts Payable, Travel, and related financial systems and business processes. This position oversees system functionality, workflow optimization, compliance monitoring, and operational support for Accounts Payable and Travel programs. Analyzes complex financial transactions, resolves system and processing issues, identifies trends and operational risks, and recommends improvements to enhance efficiency, compliance, and customer service.
The position acts as a liaison between Accounts Payable, Procurement, Travel, eBusiness, Information Technology, Human Resources, and external vendors to support system implementations, upgrades, testing, and issue resolution. Responsibilities include the administration of financial and travel systems, user profile management, workflow configuration, and ensuring the integrity of Accounts Payable and travel-related processes.
Additionally, the Accounts Payable Analyst serves as a subject matter expert providing training, functional support, and guidance to campus departments and Financial Services Support Center staff. The role develops procedures, job aids, and training materials, addresses customer inquiries, and promotes consistent interpretation and application of CSU policies, regulations, and business procedures. Through collaboration, analysis, and continuous process improvement efforts, the position helps ensure accurate financial reporting, operational effectiveness, regulatory compliance, and a high level of customer service across the university.
The Accounts Payable Analyst will also serve as a back up to the Business Analyst. Other duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university and/or the equivalent training and administrative work experience involving the study, analysis, evaluation, development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs plus four years of related experience.
