Overview
Titans After School Program Academic Instructors work with a group of up to 25 students (3rd through 8th graders only). Daily tasks consist of but are not limited to: leading academic-focused activities, student supervision, tutoring, homework assistance, and educational enrichment and must be committed to being a constant presence during all hours of operation. Academic Instructors must have high energy, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to maintain a fun and organized atmosphere.
Must be available to work Monday through Wednesday from 3:30PM-5:30PM and Thursday from 1:30PM-5:00PM.

- Implements all Titans After School Program rules and procedures and displays professionalism at all times.
- Supports their supervisor by following directions.
- Communicates regularly with the Site Coordinator regarding all aspects of the program at the designated site.
- Follows chain of command when reporting incidents or concerns at the site.
- Clocks in/out on the site’s desktop computer, completes electronic timesheet, and approves own hours on Web Clock as scheduled bi-weekly.
- Attends all weekly staff meetings.
- Works collaboratively with all staff members.
- Collects attendance documents and other documents needed at the end of programming daily.
- Provides students with educational enrichment, including positive youth development strategies, recreation, prevention activities, and life skills.
- Provides tutoring and homework assistance.
- Ensures students receive constant supervision and a safe, supported environment at all times.

Let’s Learn!, Meet the Masters, Math Readers, Battle of the Books, STEM, Comic Books. Must also implement any new curriculum introduced during the school year (training provided). - Creates and implements an engaging educational curriculum monthly upon approval of the direct supervisor.
- Responsible for Titans After School Program property such as curriculum materials and electronics.
- Accurately tracks students’ progress using the programmatic protocol.
- May be asked to stay past scheduled time when students are picked up after the normal check-out time.
- Responsible for managing service learners, interns, and volunteers at the site.
- Responsible for checking assigned Fullerton email weekly to ensure trainings are up-to-date and completed by deadline.
- Creating schedules and lesson plans for grade-specific activities.
- Works with smaller groups for academic focus and leads small groups of students in guided, academically focused lesson plans to enhance testing skills.
- Supports instructors in classes by focusing on academic support.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to manage a classroom of 20-25 students (3rd through 8th grade) independently.
- Understanding behavior management and effective disciplinary techniques.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized with exceptional interpersonal and partnering relationship skills.
- Ability to keep track of curriculum and binders at the site.
- Enthusiastic, highly motivated with strong team-building skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Google Drive (Docs, Sheets).
- Flexible, team-oriented, child-focused, and committed to making a difference in students’ lives.
- Minimum High School diploma or equivalent.
