Chemistry Instructor (Part‑time pool)
Department: FC Natural Sciences, Fullerton College
Salary: $1,572.67 – $1,725.85 per lecture unit rate; $1,572.67 – $1,725.85 per lab parity unit rate; $1,258.16 – $1,380.60 per lab unit rate.
Duties and Responsibilities- Teach courses in General Chemistry, Introductory Chemistry, General, Organic and Biological Chemistry.
- Prepare and deliver lectures and laboratory sessions, evaluate student performance, and maintain academic records.
- Participate in faculty meetings, curriculum planning, and student advising as required.
- Master’s degree in chemistry OR Bachelor’s in chemistry or biochemistry PLUS Master’s in biochemistry, chemical engineering, chemical physics, physics, molecular biology, or geochemistry (or equivalent).
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion; sensitivity to diverse student backgrounds.
- Previous teaching experience at the college or university level.
- Experience using multimodal, student-centered pedagogy to serve first‑generation, immigrant, and low‑income students.
