Job DescriptionThe Natural Sciences Division seeks adjunct instructors to teach general biology lecture and lab courses, human biology lecture and lab courses, and biotechnology lecture and lab courses on campus or at dual enrollment sites for the Fall 2025 semester and beyond. Courses include BIOL 101F, 102F, 102LF, 190F, 190LF.
Essential FunctionsTeach assigned courses, prepare and deliver instruction, evaluate student work, maintain accurate records, and comply with college policies and regulations.
Special RequirementsAll degrees must be verifiable on a legible transcript. No grade cards. All degrees from accredited postsecondary institutions. Foreign degrees require evaluation.
Minimum Qualifications- Master’s in any biological science
- OR Bachelor’s in any biological science AND Master’s in biochemistry, biophysics, or marine science
- OR possess a valid California teaching credential in the appropriate subject area or equivalent qualifications
- Commitment to diversity; must demonstrate sensitivity to diverse student backgrounds
- MS or advanced degree in biology, cellular biology, developmental biology, ecology, molecular biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, or allied fields
