Child & Adolescent Studies – Part Time Lecturer Pool
The Department of Child and Adolescent Studies at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Part‑Time Lecturer Pool.
Subject Areas & Teaching Focus- Child development — Infancy to middle childhood
- Child development — Middle childhood through adolescence
- Professional communication in the CAS discipline
- Assessment in child and adolescent development
- Research methods in child and adolescent development
- Learning and motivation in early childhood
- Infant/toddler development
- Working with parents of young children
- Adolescent and the media
- Adolescent sexuality and intimate relationship
- Parenting in the 21st century
- General introduction to child development
- Teach courses in the subject areas listed above as assigned.
- Be available on short notice; appointments are often made just prior to the start of the academic term.
- A Master’s or Doctorate degree in Child Development, Developmental Psychology, or a closely related field prior to appointment.
- Demonstrated ability to interact and work effectively with a culturally diverse range of students, including first‑generation college students.
- A strong background in child development theory and research.
- An interest in preparing undergraduates to work effectively with children, adolescents, and families from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to work collegially in a multicultural environment.
- Significant teaching experience working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive, and inclusive environment.
- Relevant professional experience and performance record.
All part‑time faculty appointments are made as Lecturers under the CSU Collective Bargaining Agreement. Initial appointments are for one semester only.
Monthly salary range: $5,507 – $6,677 per month (anticipated hiring range not to exceed $6,221 per month). Compensation is prorated to units worked.
