Part‑Time Lecturer Pool
The Department of Chicana and Chicano Studies at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Part‑Time Lecturer Pool.
Teaching Responsibilities
- Intro to Ethnic Studies
- Communication Skills
- Introduction to Chicana and Chicano Studies
This pool provides part‑time lecturers on an as‑needed basis. Qualified applicants will be contacted when positions are available. Appointments are typically made prior to the start of the academic term and require availability on short notice.
Required Qualifications
- At least a Master’s degree relevant to the department curriculum for introductory courses (100‑ or 200‑level). A Ph.D. or extensive professional experience is required for upper‑division courses (300‑ or 400‑level).
- Demonstrated ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse student body, including first‑generation college students.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior teaching experience at the college or university level with strong evidence of teaching effectiveness.
- Experience working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive, and inclusive environment.
- Relevant work experience and professional capabilities.

Appointment and Salary
- Initial appointments are one semester.
- Classification Range: $5,507–$6,677 per month.
- Anticipated range (up to $6,221 per month).
- Three‑unit assignment typical starting compensation: $6,608.40–$7,465.20 per semester.
