Job Title: English Instructor Pool – Part‑Time
Department: The Faculty Commons – Humanities
Location: Fullerton College, Fullerton, CA
Employment Type: Part‑time, temporary assignments on an as‑needed basis.
Salary: $1,572.67 – $1,725.85 per lecture or lab parity unit; $1,258.16 – $1,380.60 per lab unit (dependent on education).
Essential FunctionsTeach undergraduate English courses (lecture and lab units) as scheduled, in accordance with department standards and student‑centered, inclusive teaching practices.
Qualifications- Master’s degree in English, literature, comparative literature, or composition; or Bachelor’s degree in any of the above plus a Master’s in linguistics, TESL, speech, education (specialization in reading, creative writing, or journalism) or equivalent.
- Verification of degree award required.
- Documentation of relevant teaching experience or foreign degree evaluation as required.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the classroom.
- Experience teaching dual enrollment (high school/college) English courses.
- Experience supporting special population programs such as PUENTE or UMOJA.
- Commitment to ongoing reflection and improvement of instructional practices to support equity.
