Horticulture Instructor Pool-Part-Time

Fullerton College, Department of Natural Sciences. Part‑time appointment. Compensation ranges from $1,572.67 to $1,725.85 per lecture unit rate or $1,258.16 to $1,380.60 per lab unit rate depending on experience and education.

Duties and responsibilities as presented are intended to be representative and not restrictive. The District reserves the right to modify assignments in accordance with operational needs.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher AND two years of professional experience directly related to the teaching assignment;
• OR an associate degree AND six years of professional experience directly related to the teaching assignment;
• OR possession of a valid California teaching credential authorizing instruction in a community college in the appropriate subject matter area;
• OR equivalent qualifications, including related education, training, employment, and professional experience that would be equal to the required degree(s) and experience as determined by the District Equivalency Committee.

• Expertise in culturally responsive teaching in horticulture, and demonstrated ability to address equity gaps among racially minoritized groups;
• Commitment to diversity and demonstrated sensitivity to the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty, and staff.
