Assistant Professor in Experimental Physical Chemistry

Position OverviewThe successful candidate will develop and sustain an active experimental physical chemistry research program, teach undergraduate and graduate lecture and laboratory courses, mentor students, and participate in departmental and university service.
Key Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate and graduate lecture and laboratory courses in physical chemistry.
- Develop and sustain an experimental physical chemistry research program, recruiting undergraduate and master’s students.
- Secure external funding and publish peer‑reviewed research with student co‑authors.
- Engage in departmental, college, and university service, including committee work and outreach.
- Mentor and advise students, fostering an inclusive learning environment.
- A Ph.D. in chemistry or a closely related field with relevant postdoctoral experience.
- Strong commitment to effective, engaging teaching using student‑centered, active learning, and inquiry‑based approaches.
- A record of research productivity in experimental physical chemistry or related fields.
- Demonstrated ability to develop an independent, funded research program that involves undergraduate and master’s level students and results in peer‑reviewed publications.
- Ability to communicate with and mentor a diverse student population.

Compensation & BenefitsAssistant Professor salary range: $7,206 to $7,350 per month (approx. $86,472–$88,200 annually). Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
