Position
The Division of Politics, Administration and Justice at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Criminal Justice Part‑Time Lecturer Pool. This pool provides flexible part‑time faculty for face‑to‑face courses scheduled between 8 am and 4 pm. Appointments are temporary, often made shortly before the academic term, and require availability on short notice.
Responsibilities- Teach Criminal Justice courses in a lecture‑discussion format, typically 3 units per semester.
- Prepare and deliver effective instruction for face‑to‑face classes from 8 am to 4 pm.
- Prepare course materials, assignments, and syllabi; comply with department and university policies.
- Participate in departmental evaluations and performance reviews.
- Enrolled in a Ph.D. program in criminology, criminal justice, or related field, or hold an M.A. in the same area with substantial graduate work.
- Prior university‑level teaching experience.
- Demonstrated ability to interact with culturally diverse student populations, including first‑generation college students.
- Experience working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, inclusive environment.
- Relevant professional work experience and ability to bring professional capabilities into the classroom.
All appointments are for one semester and are made under the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the CSU system and the California Faculty Association. Classification range is $5,507–$6,677 per month; the anticipated hiring range is up to $6,221 per month. Compensation is prorated to the number of units worked and paid in six monthly payments.
