We seek an exceptional individual to join our team as the Head Coach, Women's Basketball (Administrator III). Essential

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university. Five years of coaching a highly competitive basketball program. Demonstrated successful coaching experience in a highly competitive intercollegiate and/or professional level. Thorough knowledge and experience in managing an athletics program budget and organizing and coordinating an intercollegiate basketball schedule. Strong organizational skills and ability to perform accurate, detailed work under time pressures.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills combined with the ability to interact with various groups. Demonstrated strong leadership and management skills, including the ability to motivate staff. Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with multiple constituents and build effective working relationships.

A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for employment. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Failure to complete the background check satisfactorily may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree from an accredited college or university. Experience in coaching and recruiting competitively for basketball. Knowledge of State of California, California State University code and regulations, and California State University and NCAA policies and procedures. Knowledge of federal and state labor laws, CSU HR policies, CSU Title IX Executive Orders.

This position is designated as a Campus Security Authority (CSA) position under the federal Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act. CSAs are responsible for reporting allegations of Clery Act Crimes reported to them or that they witness. CSA training is required.
