Job DescriptionThis part-time position will teach beginning and intermediate courses in UI/UX design, motion graphics, and responsive web design. The ideal candidate will guide students through user-centered design processes for digital platforms, and mobile-first web development. Emphasis should be placed on conceptual thinking, accessibility, current industry tools, and professional workflows.
Primary PurposeDuties and responsibilities as presented are intended to be representative and not restrictive. The District reserves the right to modify the assignment and allocation of duties in accordance with operational needs.
Qualifications- Any Bachelor’s degree or higher AND two years of professional experience directly related to the faculty’s teaching assignment
- Any Associate degree AND six years of professional experience directly related to the faculty member’s teaching assignment
- Possess a valid California teaching credential authorizing service in a community college in the appropriate subject matter area
- The equivalent. Equivalent qualifications may include related education, training, employment and professional experience that would be equal to the required degree(s) and experience in this field as determined by the District Equivalency Committee
- Commitment to diversity. - The award of all degrees must be verifiable on a legible transcript. If degree award date is not posted on transcript your application will be deemed incomplete and removed from consideration.

- All degrees and coursework used to satisfy the required minimum qualifications must be submitted and from accredited postsecondary institutions. See our website for information regarding accredited postsecondary institutions.
- Evaluations of foreign degrees and/or coursework are required.
- Prior College-level Teaching Experience Is Preferred.
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with faculty, staff, and community partners to design and implement initiatives that support historically underrepresented, marginalized, nontraditional, multilingual, and learning-disabled students in achieving their educational goals.
- Salary Range: $1572.67 - $1725.85 per lecture unit rate, $1572.67 - $1725.85 per lab parity unit rate, $1258.16 - $1380.60 per lab unit rate
