Religious Studies - Part-Time Lecturer Pool
Department of Religious Studies, CSU Fullerton. This part‑time lecturer pool invites applications to teach undergraduate courses in face‑to‑face and/or asynchronous online formats. Appointments are temporary and often made just prior to the start of the academic term; applicants must be available on short notice.
Required QualificationsCandidates must hold at least a Master’s degree in Religious Studies or a related field and demonstrate the ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, including first‑generation college students.
Preferred QualificationsPreference will be given to those with experience working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive, and inclusive environment, as well as those with relevant professional experience or capabilities.
Appointment & SalaryAll appointments are as Lecturers under the CSU Collective Bargaining Agreement. Initial appointments are for one semester only. Salary ranges from $5,507 to $6,677 per month, prorated to the number of units worked and paid in six monthly payments per full semester. For a three‑unit assignment, typical starting compensation ranges from $6,608.40 to $7,465.20 per semester.
Performance EvaluationRegular performance evaluations determine retention for future teaching assignments and may involve review of syllabi and course materials by the departmental personnel committee.

Need for part‑time faculty is greatest in Fall and Spring semesters. Fall term: late August to mid‑December. Spring term: middle of January to end of May. Occasionally needed during Summer Session segments.
